GOD CALLED ME BY NAME AND I WAS HEALED

Praise the Lord, I hope you are doing well.

As I write this testimony, my heart is filled with gratitude and awe at what God has done in my life. I thank Him for His endless love and mercy, and I thank Him for the ministry He has entrusted to Fr. Raphael Pio and Silas. Looking back at the Novena Reflection Sessions held at Consolata Shrine from 15th to 23rd May 2026, I can only say that I encountered a God who sees, knows, and heals His people in very personal ways.
The journey began on 16th May. At the end of the session, as Fr. Pio was praying, he began calling out names and speaking about areas in people’s lives where God was bringing healing and freedom. Suddenly, he mentioned my name and said that God was delivering me from anger.
Those words struck me deeply. Anger had been something I had struggled with for a long time. It often rose within me with an intensity I could not control. Yet from that moment, something changed. It was not dramatic or loud, but it was real. The burden seemed to lift. Since that day, I have not experienced the intense anger that once troubled me. It felt as though God had reached into a hidden place within my heart and gently removed a weight I had carried for years.
A few days later, on 19th May, God touched another area of my life. I had attended the session while dealing with my usual menstrual cramps. In fact, before leaving home, I had taken painkillers because I expected the pain to come as it always did. For as long as I can remember, every month meant preparing myself for discomfort and making sure medication was within reach.
During the session, Fr. Pio mentioned menstrual cramps among the conditions the Lord was healing. At the end, he prayed over everyone carrying that burden. The following day, 20th May, something unexpected happened. Silas called out my name, and, actually, what surprised me most was that he was pointing at the very spot where I was seated. Coincidentally, another lady seated next to me shared the same name. He asked both of us the same question. At that moment, I felt strongly in my heart that God was drawing my attention to the issue mentioned the previous evening. Silas narrowed down to me after inquiring about a few things he was getting from the lord. I shared it with him, and he prayed for both of us.
That month, something remarkable happened. The pain never came. For the first time in years, I went through my cycle without needing painkillers. The tablets I had bought remained untouched. Even the medication left over from the previous month stayed in its packet. Every time I saw them, I was reminded that God had done something I could not explain. What medicine had only managed temporarily, God had addressed completely.
Then came the final day of the Novena, 23rd May. As Fr. Pio prayed, he mentioned that someone with weak limbs was being healed. I immediately claimed that word for myself. For a long time, my mornings had been a struggle. I would wake up feeling as though all strength had drained from my legs. Sometimes I would lie in bed longer than necessary, wondering whether I would have enough energy to get through the day’s responsibilities. Simple errands felt overwhelming.
That evening, I entrusted that weakness to God. Since then, my mornings have been different. I wake up with strength in my legs. I rise from bed without fear or hesitation. The uncertainty that once greeted me every morning has disappeared. Instead, I wake up ready to face the day. What I once accepted as normal is no longer part of my life.
When I reflect on these experiences, I am overwhelmed by one truth: God knows us personally. He knows our names. He sees the struggles we carry silently. He sees the battles we fight behind closed doors. And in His perfect time, He reaches into those places with healing, freedom, and restoration.
I attended the Novena hoping to draw closer to God. I left having encountered Him in ways I never expected. Through His servants, Fr. Raphael Pio and Mr. Silas Kiriinya, the Lord reminded me that He is alive, He speaks, He heals, and He still performs wonders among His people today.
Thank you for your ministry and for allowing God to use you as instruments of His grace. May the Lord continue to bless, strengthen, and increase the work He has entrusted to you.

With a grateful heart, I proclaim “God called me by name, and I was healed. In that moment, I experienced His personal love, His power, and His mercy. The One who knows me intimately reached out to me, and my life was transformed. I am healed, restored, and forever grateful. To God alone be all the glory.” He has made this scripture my anchor “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine.”Isaiah 43:1
