My name is Clara Cheptoo.
I first met Silas in 2013 while we were pursuing our Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Kenyatta University. What began as a friendship among classmates gradually grew into a journey of prayer and faith that has now spanned many years. Looking back, I can clearly see how God has used those moments of prayer to strengthen my faith and remind me that He is deeply involved in every detail of our lives.
Two experiences continue to fill my heart with awe whenever I remember them.
The first happened in April 2019. During one of our prayer sessions, Silas suddenly asked me whether I was expectant. I answered, “No.” He then calmly said that he saw a baby girl. At the time, those words seemed impossible. Our last child was already about six years old, and as a family we were not expecting or even planning to have another baby. Humanly speaking, that chapter of our lives appeared closed. Yet God had a different plan.
Exactly as the Lord had revealed, in June 2020, our family was blessed with a beautiful baby girl. Every time I look at her, I am reminded that God knows our lives long before we do. What seemed impossible to us was already known and ordained by Him. This experience continues to amaze me because it revealed not simply a prediction, but God’s intimate knowledge of our lives and His faithfulness to His purposes.
The second experience happened in January this year.
I had travelled to Nairobi to handle an important work matter that was weighing heavily on my heart regarding my work. I spent my night in their home and in the morning before the meeting regarding my work situation, we prayed together with Silas and his Wife. During the prayer, Silas mentioned that he could see a blue file.
At first, I did not understand what that meant. However, when I arrived at my office and walked into the room, the very first thing I noticed was the file waiting for me on the table. It was light blue.
At that moment, something shifted within me. I realized that God was not distant from what I was going through. He was already present in the situation before I even walked into the office. Seeing that blue file became God’s personal reminder that He was in control. Immediately, my anxiety gave way to peace. I stopped trying to carry the burden on my own and surrendered the entire matter to Him, trusting that He would guide every step.
These two experiences have left an enduring mark on my faith. They have taught me that God is present in both the big milestones of life and the seemingly ordinary moments. He knows our future, sees our present circumstances, and walks with us through every season. Nothing escapes His attention, and nothing is beyond His power.
I thank God for Abba Heart Ministries and for the ministry He has entrusted to Silas and his team. Through this ministry, many of us have grown in faith, learned to trust God’s voice more deeply, and experienced His transforming presence in our lives.
Since then, this scripter feels like it was uniquely written for me-Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
To God alone be all the glory.

Jesus is alive! Let us trust in Him.
